This year our class names are based on mythical creatures.
Class 3 are called the Pixies Class. In this class you will find Mrs Taplin and Mrs Grant.
Class 4 are called the Unicorns Class. In this class you will find Miss Doidge, Mrs Poupart and Miss Tiltman.
Autumn
This term we are learning about ourselves, making friends and asking for help. This is a very important term and we will be spending a lot of time getting to know each other in our new classrooms and our school.
After half term, we will be reading and story mapping Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you see? And We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. Using role play and props, the children will have the opportunity to re-tell these stories and explore new vocabulary.
During English we will be learning to read and write phase 2 Phonics and practicing handwriting patterns.
In maths we will be exploring numbers to 10. The children will be thinking about the value of each number, grouping numbers, adding numbers, and understanding one more and one less of numbers to 10.
