Personal Development Learning Curriculum Intent
At Sun Hill Infant and Preschool, we are committed to the development of the whole child. Our pupil’s personal development is at the heart of all we do and it is at the centre of our curriculum. PSHE, RSE and Leader in Me provides a framework to explore healthy life styles, including physical and mental wellbeing, keeping safe, and the 7 Habits that all contribute to lifelong success as human beings. Our aim is for all our pupils to develop skills and strategies to help them to understand and manage their emotions, identify their personal responsibility, communicate constructively, and live a healthy, safe, fulfilling and balanced life. We also aim to help our children to understand that their own family may look very different to their friends, or their neighbours, but that it’s the care and love provided by a family that is of greatest importance.
