Art Curriculum Intent
At Sun Hill Infant School our intent is to develop children’s creativity and imagination through the exploration of hands on and practical art experiences. We develop competency within drawing, painting and clay but also offer children wider art experiences using different media to deepen and enrich their knowledge and love of the visual arts. Each child has the opportunity to personally express themselves through art and to explore different traditions and cultures. As a whole school, we are committed to the teaching and learning of art; holding it at the centre of all that we do. Art enriches the whole curriculum and provides a vehicle for children to communicate what they see, feel and think.
