Welcome to Year Two's learning page! On a weekly basis we will upload this page with suggestions for home learning in spelling and mental maths should your child wish to consolidate and practice some key skills with you. We love to see home learning, so please bring anything you do at home into school so that we can share and display it.
Learning Tools
We will be thinking about the skills needed to be a successful learner. We will be completing challenges around the following skills:
Perseverance
Collaboration
Communication
Reflection
Taking Action (setting a target)
You could set yourself challenges at home where you can practice these skills. Take a picture of your challenge and bring it into school to talk about what learning skills you had to use to complete your task.
We will also be revisiting handwriting skills from Year One. This will be a bug focus over the next month, so you could practice your cursive script (joined up handwriting) at home. Securing this skill now will really help you during your writing this year.
