The Sunshine Singers!

The Sunshine Singers are a group of Infant and Junior children who love singing and performing as a team. Each year the Sunshine Singers are invited to perform at various functions in the Alresford area - Christmas Eve Crib Service and the May Watercress Festival are two of the events the children really enjoy. We also have taken part in local vocal festivals and concerts for parents.

As a chorus we were able to support a group of soloists in a production of Roald Dahl's 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' in June 2012.

In December we took part in a highly successful concert in St John's Church with the Alresford Community Choir, Perins School and Alresford Community Theatre Society. This was a complete sell out and was a wonderful experience for the Sunshine Singers to be able to perform in front of so many people and also to be able to listen to others who love singing and acting. We wll be performing a concert version of Oscar Wilde's 'The Selfish Giant' in the summer.

We are hoping to form the Sun Hill Family Singers, which to begin with will meet once a term to have lots of fun singing and learning together.

Do contact Rosie Waring Green if you are interested in taking part in this ground breaking project.

The junior section of the Sunshine Singers also have an opportunity to take part in musicals produced by Alresford Community Theatre Society and are currently involved in a production of the musical 'Annie' to take place in February.

The Sunshine Singers are all about having fun, working as a team and developing a real love of singing which we hope will last forever.

We rehearse every Wednesday after school until 4.25pm. Please contact Rosie Waring Green for further details - 01962 733237 or rosie@22rwg.co.uk
