The Year Two children showed off their many skills and talents during this year's Leaver's Performance called 'Sloth's Don't Run'. Based on Bob, their class mascot. the children sang, danced and acted to create a fabulous show all about perseverance and friendship. We are so very proud of them and wish them all the luck in the world as they move on with their learning journey at the Junior School.
In celebration assembly, Mrs Jones and the children sang Happy Birthday to Captain Tom Moore to wish him a Happy 100th Birthday. The Hampshire Music Service have created a musical video to celebrate this inspirational man. To view the video clip, please click on the link below

On Friday 13th March, children and staff had a fantastic day raising money and taking part in fun activities for Sports Relief.
The day started with children, staff and parents gathering in the hall to sing the Sport Relief song. Throughout the day, each year group enjoyed time outside on their scooters as well as jumping around on the bouncy castle for our sponsored bounce.

We just wanted to share with you that last week Artsmark awarded Sun Hill Infant School a Gold Award for our Arts provision. This means that we have maintained our ‘Gold’ status for over 15 years.
Over the past two and a half years many of you will be aware that we have been developing our Arts provision to ensure the very best experiences for our pupils. Some of our successes have been:
We are incredibly proud of our commitment to ‘The Arts’ and we believe this makes us unique as a school. With a reduced budget and less staff, we will still strive to place ‘The Arts’ at the centre of the curriculum to ensure our children have the very best creative and imaginative experiences.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all staff, governors, parents and children who have helped along this Artsmark journey; we would not have achieved ‘Gold’ without all your commitment, hard work and effort. We would especially like to thank the amazing children in Arts Council who have worked with Miss Riley this year to ensure all children have a voice in their arts provision.

This week we held our 'Save the Oceans' musical concert. We loved singing over three performances and sharing our message about recycling, respecting and protecting our oceans. It was such a collaborative event with the Infant children singing with staff, 'The Sunshine Singers' and our Year Four partners.
