Computing Curriculum Intent
At Sun Hill Infant School we aim to prepare our pupils for the future by developing computing skills that will equip them for an ever-changing digital world. Computing is a practical subject in which problem solving, invention, resourcefulness, creativity and logical thinking are encouraged. We aim to develop competence and confidence within Computer Science and Information Technology in order for children to be able to express themselves, develop their ideas and understand how computer systems work. Finally, we firmly believe that the teaching and learning of Digital Literacy is an essential and vital part of our Computing curriculum in order to equip our pupils with the knowledge of how to stay safe in the digital world.
